| CCSA Western Cape Provincial Convention 2009
Delegates and Observers who attended the 2nd CCSA Western Cape Provincial Convention on the 07th March 2009. The second Provincial Convention was held at the Medical Chambers, N1 City Hospital, Goodwood, this year. The Convention was well represented by the six Western Cape Regions. Delegates were honored to have the past President and Honorary Life Member of the CCSA, Mr. & Mrs. Bertie & de Kock joining them for the Convention. As usual at a Convention, votes were casts for various constitutional matters of which the votes of the Province were forwarded to the National Office via sms. Various Provincial Conventions that were also held at the same time, did the same. Once all the votes from the Provincial Conventions were submitted, the National results were made known to the delegates, also via sms. With the costs saving implications by having a National Convention on a Regional level compared to a full National Convention, the votes were unanimous that the next National Convention to be held in 2010 will also be held at Provincial level. Oom Bertie de Kock presented two National Awards to a Western Cape Region. The first award was the Albert & Annatjie Edeling Cup for the Region with the highest retention of members over the period 1st July 2008 to February 2009. The second award the Bertie & Connie de Kock Trophy for the Region with the highest number of payments through from 1st July to the 31 August 2009. Congratulations to Tafelbaai Region that has won both these awards!!
